GrantsAutodesk Design Academy Software
A $16,000 grant was awarded to the Darien High School Technology Education Department for a pre-engineering, pre-architecture and cross-discipline software program. Autodesk Design Academy will allow the Tech Ed department to expand its drafting, architecture and engineering classes using the same technology as professional Architecture and Engineering firms.

Partnering with the town, The Darien Foundation will help fund the development of a new and vastly improved town website. Citizens will be able to process transactions via the website, receive e-mail notification of vital information updates, lodge complaints and service requests as well as check on town meeting schedules, notices and agendas 24/7.
 
Grants“Do the D” Logo at Darien High School
The Darien Foundation’s first “capital” grant was awarded to the Blue Wave Pride Club for the completion of its fundraising efforts to have the “D” logo inserted on the Stadium Field and painted on the Main Gym floor at Darien High School.
 
GrantsPlayground by the Sound
The Darien Foundation contributed $50,000 to the fundraising efforts of Playground by the Sound. This group’s mission is to research and plan a new playground for Weed Beach Park and to privately raise the necessary funds. Playground by the Sound will be a nautically themed playground which will inspire children’s imaginations with age-appropriate and safe playground equipment.
